In Xymbolic, we support the Enhanced Work Immersion & Service Industry Training Program that aims to align students' work immersion experiences with current workforce demands as a core component of student development under the Republic Act 10533, known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.

Objective


XymbolicPH is actively partnering with educational institutions to support senior high school students through its Work Immersion Program. This initiative is part of the company's broader commitment to community engagement and talent development in the ICT sector. The program provides students with real-world exposure to IT operations, project management, and digital solutions within a professional environment.

The primary objective of Xymbolic IT Solutions in offering this partnership is to:

  • Bridge academic learning with industry practice, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios.
  • Support youth development by mentoring students and helping them build foundational skills in information technology.
  • Contribute to workforce readiness by preparing future professionals for careers in ICT through hands-on experience.
  • Strengthen institutional relationships with schools and colleges, fostering long-term collaboration and community impact.

Sample Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)

These terms of service ("Terms," "Agreement") are an agreement between Xymbolic IT Solutions Provider Corporation ("host," "us," "we," or "our") and Partner Institution ("Institution," "you," or "your"). This Agreement sets forth the general terms and conditions to establish a partnership for implementing the Work Immersion and Service Industry Learning Program, providing students with practical experience in IT and service-related fields.

This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is entered into by and between:

Xymbolic IT Solutions Provider Corporation, a duly registered company with principal office at [Company Address], herein referred to as the "Host Institution,"

and

[Partner Institution Name], located at [School Address], herein referred to as the "Sending Institution,"

for the purpose of implementing a Work Immersion and Service Industry Learning Program for senior high school students, in accordance with the Department of Education (DepEd) guidelines and the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum. To formalize the partnership for the implementation of the Work Immersion and Service Industry Learning Program, aimed at providing senior high school students with hands-on experience and exposure to real-world IT service environments.

  • To provide students with real-world experience in the IT and service industry.
  • To enhance students’ technical and soft skills through supervised training.
  • To expose students to workplace environments, tools, and practices.
  • To foster collaboration between industry and education sectors.

A. Host Institution (Xymbolic IT Solutions Provider Corporation)

  • Provide a safe and conducive learning environment for student trainees.
  • Assign qualified personnel to supervise and mentor students.
  • Allow students to participate in relevant tasks and projects.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to the sending institution.
  • Ensure compliance with labor, safety, and child protection laws.
  • Immediately report any incidents or concerns involving student safety to the Sending Institution.

B. Sending Institution ([Partner Institution Name])

  • Select qualified students for immersion based on academic and behavioral criteria.
  • Provide orientation and preparatory training prior to deployment.
  • Monitor student progress and coordinate with the host institution.
  • Ensure students comply with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Provide insurance coverage or necessary documentation for student safety.
  • Assign a school coordinator to oversee student welfare and respond to emergencies.

Health and Safety Orientation

All students shall undergo a safety orientation prior to immersion, covering workplace hazards, emergency procedures, and reporting protocols.

Insurance Coverage

The Sending Institution shall ensure that students are covered by accident insurance for the duration of the immersion.

Emergency Response

In case of accidents, illness, or other emergencies, the Host Institution shall provide immediate assistance and notify the Sending Institution and the student’s parent/guardian.

Workplace Hazards

Students shall not be assigned tasks that expose them to undue physical, emotional, or psychological risks.

Confidentiality and Protection

Students shall be protected from harassment, exploitation, and discrimination. Any violations shall be reported and addressed promptly.

Monitoring and Supervision

Students shall be supervised at all times during immersion hours. A designated mentor shall be responsible for their guidance and safety.

A. Health Requirements

  • All participating students must undergo a pre-immersion medical check-up to ensure they are physically and mentally fit for the program.
  • Students with existing medical or psychological conditions must submit a medical and/or mental health clearance and inform both institutions of any special accommodations required.
  • Students must submit a health declaration form prior to deployment, including emergency contact information and known allergies or conditions.

B. Mental Health Support

  • The Sending Institution shall ensure that students have access to school-based mental health professionals (e.g., guidance counselors or psychologists) during the immersion period.
  • Students shall be oriented on mental health awareness, stress management, and coping strategies prior to deployment.
  • Any signs of emotional distress, anxiety, or burnout observed by the host institution shall be reported immediately to the sending institution for appropriate intervention.
  • Students may request temporary withdrawal or adjustment from the immersion program due to mental health concerns, subject to evaluation and approval by both institutions.
  • Confidentiality shall be maintained in all matters related to student mental health, in accordance with applicable laws and ethical standards.

C. Safety Measures

  • Students shall receive a health and safety orientation covering workplace hazards, emergency procedures, and reporting protocols.
  • The Sending Institution shall ensure students are covered by accident insurance for the duration of the immersion.
  • The host institution shall provide a safe working environment, free from harassment, discrimination, and undue physical or psychological risks.
  • In case of illness, injury, or emergency, the host institution shall provide immediate assistance and notify the sending institution and the student’s parent/guardian.
  • Students shall not be assigned tasks that are hazardous or beyond their physical or emotional capabilities. 

To ensure the effectiveness of the program, the following evaluation metrics shall be used:

  1. Attendance and Punctuality

    1. Minimum 90% attendance required
    2. Timeliness tracked via daily logs
  2. Task Completion and Quality

    1. Completion of assigned tasks within deadlines
    2. Quality assessed through supervisor feedback and rubric-based scoring
  3. Technical Skills Development

    1. Pre- and post-program skill assessments
    2. Demonstrated proficiency in tools and platforms used during immersion
  4. Professional Behavior and Communication

    1. Evaluation of teamwork, initiative, and workplace etiquette
    2. Communication skills assessed through reports and presentations
  5. Feedback and Reflection

    1. Student self-assessment and reflection journals
    2. Partner institution and industry supervisor evaluations
  6. Final Rating

    1. Consolidated score based on the above metrics
    2. Certificate of Completion issued for students meeting minimum standards 

This agreement shall be effective from [Start Date] to [End Date], unless terminated earlier by either party with written notice.

Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary, sensitive, and personal information disclosed during the course of the program. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Student records and personal data
  • Business processes, systems, and client information of the Industry Partner
  • Any documentation or communication marked as confidential

No party shall disclose such information to any third party without prior written consent, except as required by law. This obligation shall survive the termination of this agreement. 

Any amendments to this MOA shall be made in writing and signed by both parties.

This agreement may be terminated by either party with a 30-day written notice, subject to mutual discussion and resolution of any outstanding matters.
